Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary is the first interchangeable lens for Sony E Mount APS – C mirrorless camera equivalent to 24mm F1.4 in terms of 35mm version (for Micro Four Thirds, 32mm F1 .4 equivalent). Mirror-less camera user is a long-awaited large aperture wide-angle lens. The interchangeable lens for the Sigma mirrorless camera has been constructed with the focal length that suppressed the basic composition of shooting under the concept of adopting a lightweight and compact package that is easy to use even for everyday use. Release 30 mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary released in 2016 as the first release of a new large diameter single focus lens series for mirrorless cameras that demonstrates high optical performance while realizing F1.4 brightness it was done. This 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary is also developed under the same concept as 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary. Adopted many special glasses in the lens configuration of 13 groups and 16 lenses. It suppresses various aberrations, realizes high resolving power from opening the aperture. Also, by adopting optical design corresponding to movie AF and stepping motor, natural focus work by autofocus is possible. It also has a simple dust and drip-proof mechanism such as sealing of the mounting part.
